National Telecom Public Company Limited (NT PLC.) has laid a foundation for telecommunications system in Thailand for over 60 years. Department of Research and Development is a principal division of NT PLC., formerly Telephone Organization of Thailand. For the time being, NT PLC. is the abbreviation for Telecom of Thailand. One of the most significant subdivisions in Department of Research and Development is the Testing and Calibration Services Sector.

Testing and Calibration laboratory was established in 1969, initially serving and facilitating a company in response to rapid innovation. Our calibration laboratories are accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 from Thai Industrial Standard Institute (TISI), thereby confidently ensuring accurate and precise measurements. In essence, basic testing and calibration services include a wide range of measurement instruments such as fiber optic instrument, WLAN, PON, Switch, Gateway, Optical Fiber Cable, Terminal, Closure, Preformed, Heat shrinkable, etc. The testing and calibration comprise both working instruments and related components. Regarding the utmost importance of revolutionary advances in telecommunications, we have rigorously enhanced our depth and breadth of such leading-edge technology competencies to perform impeccable calibration and to strive for superior quality assurance of your services and products.

ส่วนบริการทดสอบและสอบเทียบ เป็นหน่วยงานภายใต้ฝ่ายวิจัยและพัฒนา บมจ. โทรคมนาคมแห่งชาติ เริ่มจัดตั้งขึ้นเมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2512 โดยมีพันธกิจเพื่อให้การสนับสนุนงานทดสอบ สอบเทียบ อุปกรณ์เครื่องมือทางด้านโทรคมนาคมที่ครอบคลุมเกือบทุกสายงานจากทั้งภายใน และภายนอก พร้อมทั้งงานวิจัยพัฒนาเพื่อแก้ปัญหาและส่งเสริมการดำเนินการงานที่มีประสิทธิภาพขององค์กร โดยศูนย์สอบเทียบเครื่องมือวัดทางแสงของเราได้รับการรับรองความสามารถ ให้เป็นห้องปฏิบัติการสอบเทียบแสง ISO/IEC 17025 จากสำนักงานมาตรฐานผลิตภัณฑ์อุตสาหกรรม (สมอ.) แห่งแรกของไทย งานสอบเทียบรองรับเครื่องมือวัดทางแสงได้ครอบคลุมเกือบทั้งหมด

ในส่วนของศูนย์ทดสอบสำหรับเครื่องมือและอุปกรณ์เครือข่ายโทรคมนาคม รองรับงานทดสอบอุปกรณ์เคลือข่ายโทรคมนาคม เช่น WLAN, PON, Switch, Gateway เป็นต้น และศูนย์ทดสอบอุปกรณ์ตอนนอกดำเนินการทดสอบ อุปกรณ์จำพวก Optical Fiber Cable, Terminal, Closure, Preformed, Heat shrinkable เป็นต้น ซึ่งถือว่าส่วนบริการทดสอบและสอบเทียบ ของ บมจ. โทรคมนาคมแห่งชาติ มีความสามารถในการทดสอบและสอบเทียบทางโทรคมนาคมที่มีความครอบคลุมมากที่สุดแห่งหนึ่งของไทย นอกจาก การทำงานร่วมกันจากทั้งองค์กรรัฐและเอกชนในประเทศแล้วนั้น เรายังได้ทำงานทดสอบและสอบเทียบร่วมกับบริษัทต่าง ๆ กับทางต่างประเทศเช่น จีน ญี่ปุ่น แคนนาดา เกาหลี มาเลเซีย และ ลาว เป็นต้น จะเห็นได้ว่าเรามีความมุ่งมั่นและพัฒนาเพื่อทำให้การสื่อสารโทรคมนาคมของประเทศไทยมีคุณภาพ และการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนตลอดไป
